The Long Awaited Arrival of the Tesla Model 3

Tesla Model 3 Launch

We’re sure you’ve heard the buzz about the release of the Tesla Model 3, their most affordable model to date. Starting at just $35,000 for the basic model, Tesla is finally going to be available to the masses. The Model 3 goes from 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds, travels 215 miles per charge, seats 5, and is incredibly safe.

Tesla is clearly a forward thinking, cutting edge brand. They revolutionized electric cars and their presence and reception around the world. From all the official photos we’ve seen, the Model 3 looks sleek, not to mention there appears to be a matte option available.

You might remember our recent blog post addressing the notion that matte painted cars might be a fad. Tesla showcasing a matte paint job on their most affordable and, presumably, soon to be most popular model, says to us that matte is only going to continue growing.

We’ve already seen Tesla enthusiasts talking about fear of matte on forums discussing the Model 3’s release. Comments like “It’s a shame they made a matte version because you can’t even buff it” make everyone mistakenly think matte paint is impossible to handle. Remember, healthy matte paint is about preventative care.

We found this photo of the Model 3 riddled with fingerprints and smudges… and this is at the Tesla release event last night. Had this car been sealed and had there been a bottle of Matte Final Finish in the glove compartment, all of these fingerprints and smudges would have been easily removed in seconds.

Although the Tesla Model 3 won’t actually be delivered to customers until the end of next year, we can’t help but be extra excited to see these on the streets and in detail shops. With 130,000 reservations already placed, if you think the Model 3 is the car for you, we’d recommend getting your name on that list ASAP!
