DIY Ceramic Coating Tech Tips

If you want to apply a ceramic coating fast without professional assistance, a spray ceramic is your best bet. With these types of products, a simple spray and wipe provides durable nanotech protection. It also works great as a topper over existing wax, sealant, or coating for added shine and water beading.

Mike’s Top Pro Tech Tips:

  1. Spray coating onto microfiber towel, away from the vehicle. This helps avoid overspray on sensitive parts and makes it easier to apply over the paint.
  2. Apply coating evenly to a small section, being sure to get complete coverage.
  3. Use a second microfiber towel to wipe away excess and buff to a high gloss shine.
  4. Re-apply every three to six months or as needed. Wash vehicle every two weeks to maintain hydrophobic properties.

DIY Leather Care Tech Tips

Automotive leather needs to be conditioned in order to stay soft and protected against wear and UV color fading. At the same time, a lot of vehicles have perforated seats that make it difficult to apply thick product to without clogging the pores. Use the tips below to ensure you’re conditioning your leather properly, even with perforated seats.

Mike’s Top Pro Tech Tips:

  1. Clean leather surfaces with a gentle cleaner for organic contamination.
  2. If applying to perforated leather, massage conditioner into foam applicator before applying to avoid excess clogging pores.
  3. Apply a heavier amount to all other leather surfaces and allow the leather to absorb. Continue applying until leather can no longer absorb product. This indicates the leather is fully saturated and conditioned.
  4. Wipe thoroughly with a microfiber towel, gently buffing to a matte sheen. Re-apply every three to six months, depending on how often the surface is handled or rubbed against.
