Kawasaki is on the brink of revealing two new motorcycles, the Ninja H2 and H2R. Fascinating new bikes. The H2 is designed for consumer street use while the H2R is strictly a track bike.
The thing that makes these bikes unique to us is they have a new paint that no one has ever seen before. The Silver Mirror Paint is painted by hand for each and every bike, which then goes through rigorous screening processes to ensure perfection.
The paint is embedded with silver flakes rather than aluminum flakes in order to produce its glass-like metallic appearance. It’s this appearance that makes imperfections so noticeable which is why the screening process is so intense.
That’s where we come in. Our friends at Kawasaki USA called us to help them with the care and maintenance of this bike. Because imperfections can be extremely noticeable in this paint, it’s imperative to be proactive and protect the paint with a product that is harder than clear coat. After testing with the Silver Mirror Paint’s double clear coat and UV layer, we found that Nano-Resin has all the features necessary to protect a finish as unique as this.
Kawasaki invited me to come down to showcase Nano-Resin in front of some important people to ensure the product’s effectiveness. The demonstration and workshop went great and we’re excited to get the chance to put Nano-Resin on more Silver Mirror Paint motorcycles in the future!
