CHICAGO — Dr. Beasley’s, the premium auto detailing product manufacturer, is proud to announce the joining of Mike Phillips as their new Chief Education Officer. Mike Phillips is a legendary detailing instructor famous around the world for his no-chairs, zero-sitting, 100% hands-on approach to teaching the craft of detailing and art of polishing paint.
As Chief Education Officer, Mike will be responsible for new and exciting automotive and marine detailing classes featuring Dr. Beasley’s products, helping to communicate and instruct detailing enthusiasts and professionals everywhere in proper technique and safety procedures. Mike will also be active in new product development, working closely with Jim Lafeber, Dr. Beasley’s owner and head chemist, Director of Success Chris Racana and everyone else on the Dr. Beasley’s team.

Mike Phillips has a long relationship with Dr. Beasley’s and was integral in providing the feedback that helped launch their Nano Surface Primer paint correction line in 2020. Several Dr. Beasley’s products have been featured in past Mike Phillips detailing classes, and Mike has showcased Dr. Beasley’s products before on nationally broadcasted cable television programs like My Classic Car with Dennis Gage.
New how-to videos and articles will also be coming from Mike to Dr. Beasley’s “Behind the Detail” blog as well as their YouTube channel. This content will draw on Mike’s rich experience as a writer, instructor and professional detailer, providing time-saving tips and techniques for creating professional results consistently and efficiently.
The hiring of Mike Phillips comes at a time of significant growth for Dr. Beasley’s, as new products, content partnerships and education opportunities drive increased sales and brand visibility for the Chicago-based manufacturer. Dr. Beasley’s hopes to channel this growth into a robust foundation with Mike Phillips as a new resource for their audience to engage with and learn from.
Dr. Beasley’s will host a live streamed welcome party for Mike Phillips this Thursday, July 13th at 1PM ET/12PM CT on YouTube and Facebook. Mike will talk with Director of Success Chris Racana about why he is joining the Dr. Beasley’s team and what people can expect from him as a Dr. Beasley’s representative.

Jim’s story is unique and genuine as are all the products he formulates. His approach to the science behind the chemistry reflects his own passion for perfection while creating products that exceed expectations and advertising claims, while being safe for people, cars, and the environment.
Just as important, the team of people that Jim has assembled are all high caliber professionals in their respective area of responsibility. I look forward to and I’m excited to work with Jim and the entire team at Dr. Beasley’s. Something else that’s super important to me is Dr. Beasley’s is a small family-owned company, where I genuinely feel like part of the family, not just a cog-in-the-machine.
Working together as a team, we’re going to take the detailing world to the next level with immersive hands-on training and accurate and helpful how-to information. Our goal is to enable everyone to be successful in their business or home garage. I have always had two passions when it comes to the detailing industry, I love to detail cool cars and even more, I love to teach others the craft of automotive and marine detailing and the art of polishing paint.”
Jim Lafeber: “Ever since I met Mike Phillips seven years ago I’ve been trying to figure out how to get him on my team at Dr. Beasley’s. Mike is the detailing industry’s greatest asset. He’s street smart, he’s book smart — he literally wrote the book on detailing! Above all, Mike shares his knowledge generously and will take time out of his day to talk with anyone about proper technique, products, you name it, whether it’s on an internet forum or in real life. That’s what makes him a treasure to the detailing world and I’m beyond proud to say he’s part of the Dr. Beasley’s team.”

Best of luck Mike!
Thanks Gene!
Hardest working guy I have ever met. The guy is a magician when it comes to bringing out the best in your paint. I have seen him work wonders on some pretty rough paint jobs. My 1968 Camaro RS looks like a polished diamond now. Thanks Mike and good luck we’re going to miss you.
Wow! Thank you for the nice compliment Jerry, I truly appreciate it.

I was lucky enough to have Mike work on my personal car and he made my 22 year old Corvette look better than the day it came off the showroom floor. I wish you the best and hope to still see you around.
Hi Paul,
Thanks Paul. Which Corvette was this? Apologies, but I detail a LOT of Corvettes. I show you in my contacts as Mark Prezzemolo with a 1981 Corvette. Is there another?
-Mike
Mine was the 2003 Red Z06
Now I remember. I’ve detailed so many Corvettes in my life and even more so in the last few years, it’s hard to keep track.
Congrats Mike. I am looking forward to checking out the new line of products for my tesla and boat. Thanks to your help, I was able to restore my Ranger bass boat to show room condition. Now looking to try out some of the ceramic coatings for our new cars.
