THE PRODUCTS: NSP 45

THE PADS: Foam

THE BUFFER: Random orbital

THE COATING: PlasmaCoat

Dave Meyers is known for being one of the most active Authorized Detailers in the Dr. Beasley’s network. I should know — I’m the program director! Every other day, Dave has a new warranty to register. But warrantied Dr. Beasley’s coatings aren’t the only thing Dave does at his shop, Pro Wash Auto Spa.

NSP 45, PlasmaCoat and a random orbital buffer.

“PlasmaCoat is kind of my basic upsell,” Dave told us. “The protection is good and it looks amazing, so customers definitely see the value. It’s a very popular service of mine.” But when Nano Surface Primers first appeared on the horizon, Dave said he started to wonder how they could improve his PlasmaCoat jobs.

“Everything I was hearing about the NSPs sounded amazing, especially not needing a clarifier,” Dave said. “At the time I was running a typical finishing polish to take out the spider-webbing before putting on the PlasmaCoat, and the wipe-off was getting to be a bit much, with all the oils and everything.”

When Dave got his hands on NSPs, however, he soon noticed the benefits went beyond zero residue. “I immediately noticed I didn’t have to do as many passes as I had in the past,” Dave told us. “And I was using a lot less product, too.”

Dave found himself marveling at the results as well, once he had finished his passes. “The gloss was just unreal,” Dave said. “Safe to say I was pretty excited to get that PlasmaCoat on and see the gloss get even better.” Nothing, however, could have prepared Dave for the experience he was about to have.

“The second I went to wipe off the first panel, there was just zero friction between the towel and finish,” Dave said. “One of the smoothest wipe-off experiences I’ve ever had with a ceramic coating.” The depth of gloss, Dave said, was also staggering. “That extra thickness really makes a difference when it comes to getting that deep shine,” Dave emphasized.

The real test, of course, is in the customer’s reaction. “She went absolutely crazy,” Dave told us proudly. “Screaming about how good it all looks, taking pictures. It was the best.” So it’s no surprise NSPs are now Dave’s go-to correction solution, even when he’s not putting on a Dr. Beasley’s coating. “One of my customers came in for a correction, but said he wanted to put his own coating on,” Dave relayed. “I still used NSPs anyway, because I know no matter the coating, those things are gonna make it so much more durable.”
