Matte Finish Care
Articles and vides on how to maintain a matte finish car in its original appearance.
Matte scratches cannot be polished out without changing the sheen. Clean the area first to rule out surface transfer or contamination. If a true scratch remains, a small chip may be protected with compatible touch-up paint, but an appearance-matched repair often requires professional refinishing.

Wash the car first, then treat the affected area with a matte-safe spot cleaner. Give the cleaner time to dwell to ensure it can break down any embedded contamination.
Did the scratch or scuff disappear? If so, it was likely surface transfer or contamination. If it remains, evaluate its depth, whether the substrate is exposed and how much the surrounding sheen has changed.
Based on STEP 2, decide whether the damage is a small chip that needs protective touch-up or a visible scratch or sheen change that requires professional refinishing. Touch-up may protect exposed material, but it may remain visible on a matte finish.
For a true scratch, widespread sheen change or damage beyond a small chip, consult a qualified body and paint shop with matte-finish refinishing experience.
