Curriculum
Intro Class to PPF. This comprehensive training program introduces automotive beginners and enthusiasts to the fundamentals of paint protection film (PPF) installation. Participants will gain practical, hands-on experience preparing vehicles, applying and handling PPF correctly, and operating plotter software to achieve precise, high-quality installations. By the end of this course, attendees will be equipped with a foundation of knowledge and skills they can build on to become a master PPF installer.
Tools & Equipment for PPF
Students will learn how to select, maintain, and properly use the specialized tools required for PPF installation, including squeegees, knives, heat guns, slip solution and more.
Prepping for Installation
Students will learn how properly decontaminate paint to ensure adhesion, identify common paint imperfections and how to protect sensitive edges.
Proper Film Handling
Students will learn how to correctly store film, how to use slip and tack solutions to maneuver the PPF in place, best practices to avoid trapping contamination under PPF and how to conceal edges and corners for a seamless appearance.
Plotter Software Operation
Students will learn how to operate machine plotting software to precision cut PPF to the exact contours of the vehicle being worked on.
