Don’t leave home without it!

The Final Finish is something I always keep in the trunk of my daily driver, along with some clean microfiber towels. If I see a bird dropping pop up while I’m out, I can clean it quickly before it gets too stuck-on. Just be sure to store inside a covered box so the towels don’t get contaminated.

  • The Final Finish and a soft, lint-free microfiber towel.
Before you start:

Work on a cool, dry surface and test a small, hidden area. Wash first if the paint has grit or road grime.

  1. Shake the bottle.

    This helps ensure bottle contents are evenly distributed within solution.

  2. Spray evenly over one small area.

    Do not over-apply. Spray a light mist over the affected area.

  3. Wipe immediately with clean microfiber.

    Use a plush, edgless microfiber towel if available.

  4. Turn to a fresh side and buff by hand until the gloss is even.

    Buff gently, do not press hard.

FAQ

Can I use The Final Finish to wash the whole car?

No, you should not use The Final Finish to wash an entire vehicle. The Final Finish is a dedicated quick detail spray, not a waterless or rinseless wash. While it excels at spot-cleaning light surface dust, smudges, and fresh fingerprints between washes, it does not possess the heavy surfactant load or thick emulsifiers required to safely encapsulate larger dirt particles across an entire vehicle. Attempting to use it as a full car wash will likely result in micro-scratching and severe swirl marks on your clear coat.

Can I use it over wax or a ceramic coating?

Yes. You can use it on glossy paint that’s waxed or ceramic coated. It’s great for maintaining a clean surface on coated paint to ensure continued protective performance.

Can I use it on matte paint?

No. Use Matte Final Finish to preserve a matte or satin sheen.

Can I use The Final Finish as a drying aid?

You can, but it is not ideal. We recommend using our dedicated drying aid, Paint Hero, instead. While spraying a quick detailer like The Final Finish onto a wet car helps break surface tension and adds mild lubrication, it is primarily engineered to be a gloss enhancer on dry paint. When sprayed onto heavily wet panels, its light cleaners and glossing agents get diluted by the water. This dilution ruins the slickness and could result in a cloudy, streaky mess that requires extra buffing to clear up.

Will The Final Finish strip my existing wax or ceramic coating?

No. The Final Finish will never strip or degrade your underlying protection. In fact, it’s specifically engineered to do the exact opposite. The Final Finish helps clean off light contaminants so that your underlying wax, sealant, or ceramic coating stays clean and lasts longer.

Can The Final Finish remove bird droppings or tree sap?

It excels at fresh bird droppings, but will struggle with baked-on tree sap.

• For Bird Droppings: If you catch it early, The Final Finish is perfect. Flood the dropping with the spray, let it sit for 30–60 seconds to soften the acidic grime, and gently lift it away with a microfiber towel.

• For Tree Sap: Quick detailers are generally too weak to dissolve hardened sap. For that, you will need a dedicated cleaner like Insect Remover to break down the sticky resins without scrubbing.
