Nano LS-10, the new Multi Surface Ceramic Coating from Dr. Beasley’s, is now available! This product was engineered to solve the problem plaguing other “ceramic” sprays — the lack of genuine ceramic performance and durability.
Here’s a bit of back story from our article on these dubiously “ceramic” sprays:
“In 2019, we ran piece on a trend that was taking the detailing industry by storm — the dubiously “ceramic” spray product. At the time, we felt the technology just wasn’t there to match the hype surrounding these products. They all produced an awesome finish, certainly, but the durability left much to be desired.
After that piece, we took a long, hard look at the engineering behind “ceramic” sprays. After all, they could be a worthwhile product — even the most entry level coatings can be too hard to use for the average person. So we started asking ourselves the tough questions. What was holding back durability? How can a genuine ceramic formulation be translated into a dead simple delivery system?
For a while this research had to be put on the back burner with the development of our NSP line, but thankfully since their release in Q1-Q2 2020 we’ve had more time to devote to spray ceramic R&D. As a result, we’re proud to say we’ve developed that genuine spray ceramic we were dreaming of — Nano LS-10.
So what makes Nano LS-10 different from previous ceramic sprays? It has to do with the engineering behind the product. In his formulation, President/R&D Director Jim Lafeber focused heavily on:
- Ensuring a durable bond with minimal prep
- “Sheeting” or “water moving” hydrophobicity
- Slickness and contaminant resistance
- Appearance of gloss
Much like the breakthroughs that lead to our 25-Year Service Life Pro coatings, we achieved this engineering feat by borrowing technologies and ideas from niche industries in aeronautics and surface engineering.In the end, we were finally able to craft a ceramic spray that really could live up to the hype — and we’re excited to share it with the world!”
