GM (predictably) goes out of their way to mention that maintenance will be different for this vehicle than for cars with normal, glossy finishes. They’re right, of course, in mentioning that it should be washed by hand. (Something we believe to be true no matter what type of car it is.) What they don’t tell you is that it will also need some special products in order to keep it ship shape. So if you’re one of the lucky few who will be picking up this car you’ll be happy to know that we’ve got you covered.
In all this I haven’t even mentioned the other special edition mentioned in the press release. They’ll also be releasing a version of the CTS-V that comes in “Stealth Blue”. There’s no mention of special maintenance or any kind of special paint finish on this vehicle, so one would assume that it’s a glossy paint job. Looks pretty satin-y to me, though. And if that’s the case, it’ll need the exact same type of care as its frosty cousin up there.
What do you guys think? Like the look of the matte silver CTS-V? And am I crazy in thinking that the blue one looks matte also? Let us know in the comments!
