Detailing is an easily misunderstood topic when it comes to the general public. Most people aren’t aware of what detailing entails, if they’re even aware of detailing to begin with. So you can imagine how happy we were to hear from our friends at Chicago Auto Pros that they were working on a “Detailing Explained” video for their YouTube channel and wanted Dr. Beasley’s chemist and Simon’s Shine Shop owner Jim Lafeber for one of their industry leader interviews.
Chicago Auto Pros just released the video to YouTube last night, and it’s an incredible journey through the detailing world. What started with people applying animal fat to carriage laquer has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry driven by new technology, and Chicago Auto Pros has done a phenomenal job chronicling it all.
