Workshop Objective
This hands-on workshop teaches beginners and enthusiasts how to properly prepare for, apply, and maintain a ceramic coating to achieve professional-level results. Attendees gain the confidence, technical understanding, and practical skills required to coat a vehicle correctly with a science-backed process.

Workshop Philosophy
This class is about education, not product hype. You’ll learn the real chemistry and surface preparation principles behind ceramic coatings so you’ll know the “why” and the “how” behind the methods and techniques you’re learning.
Understanding Ceramic Coatings (15 Minutes)
What ceramic coatings actually are, what they do (and don’t do), realistic expectations for protection and durability, and common myths and marketing misconceptions.
Surface Preparation Fundamentals (40 Minutes)
Proper washing techniques, chemical decontamination (iron and fallout removal), mechanical decontamination (clay process), inspection and contamination detection, and why prep determines performance and longevity.
Beginner Machine Polishing (30 Minutes)
When polishing is necessary, how to use a DA buffer, pad and product selection for beginners, and how to prep a surface for durable ceramic coating bond.
Ceramic Coating Application (50 Minutes)
Proper application environment and lighting, panel-by-panel application method, flash times and leveling techniques, identifying and correcting high spots, and product control for efficient usage.
Curing and Aftercare Protocol (20 Minutes)
Initial cure period best practices, washing timelines and safe maintenance, compatible soaps and maintenance products, and long-term care to maximize coating lifespan.
Common Beginner Mistakes (15 Minutes)
Skipping surface preparation, overapplication, poor lighting, improper towel/wipe techniques, and environmental application errors.
Hands-On Component
- Practice surface prep on test panels or vehicle sections
- Perform guided ceramic coating application
- Learn proper leveling and wipe-off under supervision
Expected Outcome
By the end of the workshop, attendees will understand the complete coating workflow, confidently apply a ceramic coating to a panel, and maintain their vehicle using professional-grade techniques rooted in surface science.
