Fabric Coating Prep Instructions

  1. 1. TAPE & COVER

    Ensure all non-fabric surfaces are masked off with painter’s tape and all fabric surfaces are clean and dry before application.

  2. 2. BRUSH

    If your fabric has a fibrous texture, use a soft bristle upholstery brush to push the fibers in one direction.

  3. 3. SPRAY & MASSAGE

    Holding the Fabric Coating Prep about 6 inches away from the surface, spray the area to be treated and massage into the fibers using a soft bristle brush. Next, brush the fibers in the opposite direction and repeat the process of spraying Fabric Coating Prep onto the surface to be treated and massage the surface again using a soft bristle brush.

  4. 4. LET DRY BEFORE YOU APPLY

    In moderate temperatures and humidity this can take around 20 to 30 minutes. To speed up the drying process, place a small electric fan on the floor inside the car and roll the windows down about 1”. The fan will create a naturally flowing air current and evaporate any moisture fast.

Fabric Coating Pro Application Instructions

  1. 1. APPLY & MASSAGE

    Using the same method as the prep, brush fibers in one direction. Holding the bottle about 6 inches away, spray in a back-and-forth sweeping pattern with overlapping passes for uniform coverage, then massage with the soft bristle brush.

  2. 2. RE-BRUSH & RE-APPLY

    Re-brush the surface in the opposite direction, then spray again using overlapping passes for uniform application and coverage.

  3. 3. LET CURE

    Let the treated surface cure undisturbed for at least 1 hour.
Apply only in a well-ventilated area with appropriate PPE (gloves, respirator, eye protection).
Only recommended for fabric, carpeting, and upholstery.
Do not use on non-fabric surfaces.
Mask non-fabric surfaces prior to application.
If any overspray occurs, wipe away immediately with a microfiber towel.
Test for compatibility by applying a small amount to an inconspicuous area.
After application, wash and rinse the soft bristle brush with soap and warm water immediately.

Great on Tops or Interiors

I've put this coating on several interiors as well as convertible tops and have had a positive experience. A Bronco that lives outside was constantly being pelted with pollen and needles and would be dirty every time I saw it. Since protecting the top it has been very easy to maintain and has not had any of the issues it was having before. Love it on carpets where kids will be spilling and making messes - it gives parents an actual shot at cleaning up before staining happens!
