1. PREPARATION
Ensure surface is clean. Use Matte Body Wash to remove loose contaminants and Matte Paint Cleanser to spot clean more stubborn messes. For optimal bonding, decontaminate with Matte Decon prior to application.
2. WET THE SURFACE
Mist water onto a panel. For optimal bonding, use distilled water.
3. BOTTLE PREP
Lightly shake the Matte Paint Coating bottle.
4. APPLICATION
Place 10 to 15 drops onto applicator. Then apply to wet panel in circular or straight back-and-forth motions, being sure to get full coverage.
5. WIPE AWAY
Immediately wipe panel down completely with a fresh microfiber towel.
6. REPEAT
Repeat steps 2-6 until entire vehicle is covered, applying 5-6 more drops with each panel.

Do not apply in direct sunlight.
Avoid washing vehicle or getting it wet for one week after application.
Always test a small amount on an inconspicuous area to ensure surface compatibility.

Quick, Easy, and Durable

After installing the Pro version of DBs matte coating, I was excited to try this one out. It's very similar to Formula 1201 in application, going on wet, but retained the matte finish of the M5 CS in Frozen Brands Hatch Metallic. I detailed the car monthly after application and it was going strong after over two years when my client recently traded it in. So impressive for an "entry level" coating and proof that with care, they can really last.

Impressive!

The results exceeded my expectations! I bought a 4 year old X5M here in the Middle East, where paint is exposed to the harshest conditions with extreme temperatures and dust. Even though the paint was in good condition, the contrast before and after the Matte Wash and Paint Coating was amazing. The first picture is after wash, with one half of the door with the Coating, and the other without. It was like an old leather mitt after being oiled. I am really impressed at the result on this beautiful matte finish.

Really Impressive.

The results were quite amazing. I wasn't expecting such a contrast. I bought a 4 year old X5M here in the Middle East where paint is pushed to the limits with heat and dust. I don't know what, if any, protections the paint on this car got before I bought it, but it looks like a completely different paint after the Matte Paint Wash and the Matte Paint Coating.

Lasted ~6 mos before water began sheeting

Pretty disappointing, this says 1-3 years. It lasted maybe 6 mos before it appears to have completely lost its hydrophobic properties. 6 mos protection makes it a dont recommend for me. I do wash my car frequently... say once every 3 weeks or so in the non-rainy months. Oh and I had this 'professionally' applied as well.

Excellent experience

Purchased this to apply to the matte surfaces on my brothers motorcycle. The application is very user friendly leaving the surface OEM in appearance and hydrophobic. The wet application is a little different but after a couple areas you get used to it. The hydrophobic behavior is noticeable right away during the application process. Wipes off super easy.
