We’re Over Overspray!
Overspray is a pain in the butt. It ends up on your paint by accident and then it’s seemingly impossible to easily remove. At least on a glossy car, if you’ve got overspray on your paint, you can clay and polish it to remove the blemishes and even everything out. When it comes to matte paint, you can’t use either of these classic methods. If you clay and polish your oversprayed matte paint, it’ll become shiny, blotchy, and you’ve got a whole other set of issues on your hands. So what do you do with overspray on matte paint? Customer Chris emailed us to ask this very question. His matte black paint was not longer flat, even, and badass because it was sprinkled with specks of light colored overspray. Seriously annoying. He did his research and knew that he couldn’t clay or polish his matte black Harley motorcycle, but he was still unsure of what to do to clean it up. We recommended he use our Matte Paint Cleanser to remove the overspray. We’ve used it before to successfully rid a matte black Harley of overspray, so we were certain it would work for him.
Success
Just as we suspected, Matte Paint Cleanser did the trick. The matte Harley is back to flat black and looking perfect again. Chris was kind enough to take and share his before & photos with us, and we wanted to share them with everyone else! Chris’ experience is a great example of the value of research. Had he not investigated before attempting to remove the overspray, he might have opened himself up to an entirely separate set of matte paint problems. After cleaning up his matte paint, he was sure to protect it from future damage with our Matte Paint Coating. Well done, Chris!
