Paint Hero vs. Nano LS-10 vs. AdvanceCoat: Gloss — EXPLAINED

Authorized Detailer Manny Harrington requested a video explaining the difference between Paint Hero, Nano LS-10 and AdvanceCoat: Gloss during our Paint Hero livestream — and Director of Success Chris Racana has delivered! Check out this video breaking down the when, where and why of all three products.

CHRIS: All right, everybody, welcome to the Dr. Beasley’s Clean Room, I am Director of Success Chris Racana, here today to talk about three different products. We’re going to talk about Paint Hero, we’re going to talk about Nano LS-10 and then AdvanceCoat: Gloss. So this little video was inspired by Manny Harrington out at Prestige Detail in Albany, Oregon. He was tuning in to our Paint Hero livestream when we released that product, and he said, “Hey, I’d love to see a video explaining the difference between these three products. So you ask, we are delivering there for you, Manny, and I think it’s something that might be useful for a lot of you other Authorized Detailers out there as well.

So pretty much what we’re looking at here is protection, maintenance and prevention between these three products. So let’s start with protection and that’s going to be Nano LS-10.

So Nano LS-10 is a multi surface spray-on ceramic coating, okay? So this is a standalone coating. So it performs phenomenally after a paint correction, so if you’re just doing like a quick one step and wanted to follow up with something easy with a service life up to one year, fantastic product for that.

Then this is also a great topper for NSP Z1. So if you’re using our AIO or “all in one”, NSP Z1, and you want to give that Z1 a little additional pop of gloss and slickness in addition to be able to coat your headlights, your trim and your glass — well, this is your natural upsell. For you Authorized Detailers out there, this is a service you’re going to want to offer your customer. You know, again that add on to that Z1 protection. Maybe they want their glass protected and headlights and trim. This is a way you can add that to them, but still keep the price point at a more value level. So this is where Nano LS-10 really shines. Again, that sale, that, “Hey, excuse me, sir or madam, would you like your trim, headlights and glass coated as well?” I mean, trust me, as soon as you say the windshield’s going to be coated you see their eyes light up.

So again, Nano LS-10 is a nice coating after one step or really shines when you use it as a topper on top of [NSP Z1], because again, you’re able to offer your customer more value because you’re going to get their trim, you’re going to get their lights, and you’re going to get their glass as well. So that is Nano LS-10, is when we’re talking about protection.

So now let’s talk about maintenance. Now that maintenance is AdvanceCoat:Gloss. So whenever you are doing your maintenance washes— so this is specifically aimed at a multi-year ceramic coating, so not LS-10 because that is one year tops. But if you’re talking our Nano-Resin, Nano-Resin MX or Nano-Resin Pro, we require quarterly maintenance treatments for those warranties to remain valid, or even if it’s not installed by an Authorized Detailer, it’s a DIY thing, we still think it’s a good idea to use this maintenance product.

So AdvanceCoat: Gloss is for a car that’s already coated. So when we’re going to do our maintenance, generally on a quarterly basis, after a nice wash we’re going to come back with our AdvanceCoat: Gloss, it’s a simple spray and wipe product, this is going to rejuvenate the coating and reinvigorate the beading effect. So again, when it comes to maintenance, this is when we’re going to go to AdvanceCoat.

And then of course, you know, when we have AdvanceCoat, you have Gloss for glossy paint, you have Matte; AdvanceCoat: Matte for the matte paint, and then of course, Glass is your maintenance product for our glass coatings. So if you’re any of our Nano-Resins, you’re going to have maintenance with AdvanceCoat: Gloss, if it’s going to be one of our matte coatings, Matte Paint Coating or Matte Paint Coating Pro, you’re going to maintenance with AdvanceCoat: Matte, if it’s Glass Serum or Glass Serum Pro, you’re probably going to maintenance with AdvanceCoat: Glass. All right.

Finally, we’re going to move into prevention. And prevention is what Paint Hero and Matte Paint Hero is all about. So what we’re doing here is we’ve done our maintenance wash. We’ve blown dry the car, and now we just have to address those last couple areas. You know, you always get, you know, if you’re looking at the car, my poorly drawn car here. So here’s our car and there’s our front door and then here’s our side mirror. Invariably, you always get that drip coming down the side mirror, right?

Now, what we want to avoid doing is taking a dry towel and putting it on that paint because great, it’s fantastic right here where it’s wet, the towel— we’re about— we’ve got a dry towel and dry paint on either side of this run. So what we want to do in this case is take our Paint Hero and lay down a cloud of nanotechnology on our towel. And then we’re going to come back and address that little wet drip that’s coming out on the side here or from an emblem or a badge or something like that. So again, this is all about prevention.

So this is where Paint Hero comes in and also we don’t forget about Matte Paint Hero because that’s actually where this product started with the matte, because as we know, when you’re dealing with a matte finish, you put towel marks in your matte paint, game over. That’s it. It’s a repaint, guys. That’s the end of it.

And also, we want to be able to take care of our customer’s car. How do you do that? The last thing you want to do is, you know, when you’re almost done here, you don’t want to come in at the end and fumble the ball. OK, we’re about to punt it in over the goal line, we’re about done, last thing we want to do, “AH! Fumble.” No, guys. So this is where you want to come in, grab our Paint Hero, give it a spritz of nanotechnology and we’re able to protect as we address that last little wet spot on the car.

So again, let’s recap: When we’re talking protection, we’re talking Nano LS-10. This is a standalone coating, but again, it really shines when you’re using it to offer your customer additional value to their AIO service, their all-in-one service with NSP Z1. When you’re talking maintenance, it’s all about AdvanceCoat. So AdvanceCoat again, rejuvenate the coating, reinvigorate the beading effect. So this is going to be AdvanceCoat: Gloss for our Nano-Resin coatings, AdvanceCoat: Matte for our matte coatings, and AdvanceCoat: Glass for our glass coatings. And then finally, prevention. Paint Hero and Matte Paint Hero is all about prevention. So this is how you save your behind as you are performing your maintenance wash.

So hopefully that cleared everything up, shed a little light on the what and the why of these three products.
